B. Key Features & Highlights of Bricks Builder

Now, it’s time to explore the key features and highlights of Bricks Builder so you can know why and what’s so special about it.

1. Visual Full Site Editing

One of the major highlights of Bricks Builder is that it provides you with a visual full site editing interface with a drag-and-drop feature. So, you can design your entire website in real time without moving to and fro.

To be exact, the builder compromises 3 main areas. They are:

  • Toolbar
  • Panel
  • Canvas

The toolbar is positioned at the very top from where you can enable actions like switching between breakpoints to ensure responsiveness. Also, you get access to several icons to control history or revisions, insert templates, and so much more.

Meanwhile, the panel displays relevant information based on the current action, such as available elements or settings.

And last but not least, the Canvas serves as the visual representation of the page, where you can add sections, rows, columns, and elements. Then, design your website exactly as you wish.

2. Advanced Design Features

Similarly, Bricks Builder is packed with advanced design features that make website creating process both easy and fun.

Such as:

  • With tools like Flexbox and CSS Grid, your content fits perfectly, no matter the screen size. You can also set colors and fonts for your entire site in one place with Global Styles. This saves you time and keeps everything consistent.
  • Plus, to make your site stand out, you can add animations, cool effects, and unique shapes with features like shape dividers and image masks.
  • Need pictures? Bricks Builder connects to Unsplash. As a result, this gives you access to free professional photos in just a click.
  • What’s more? You can also add advanced custom touches like pop-up effects for images or videos with the built-in lightbox.
  • And if you want even more control, you can use custom CSS to tweak your design exactly how you like.

Bricks Builder gives you everything you need to create a website that’s both eye-catching and easy to build!

3. Smart Content Tool: Query Loop Builder

Another significant highlight of Bricks Builder is that it comes with its smart content tool feature i.e. Query Loop Builder.

So, here’s why it’s so awesome.

You tell the Query Loop Builder what you want to show, like your newest blog posts or favorite products, and it shows them for you.

For example, let’s say, you have a blog, and you want to display all your latest posts or projects in a nice list or grid.

So, with Query loop feature, when a new post is added, it automatically makes your new post appear on your site in a particular design. No extra effort is needed!

To talk more, the Query Loop Builder works in 3 simple steps.

  • First, you add a Container, which acts as the box where your content will appear.
  • Next, you enable the Use Query Loop setting, which tells Bricks Builder, “Repeat this box for every item I want to show.”
  • Finally, you set the Query Parameters via the Query control (an infinity icon) to decide exactly what content to display. Whether it’s posts, categories, or even custom data.

As a result, this keeps your site fresh and updated automatically, so you don’t have to do the work yourself. It’s great for blogs, online shops, or any website that needs to show content in an organized and easy way.

4. Dynamic & Personalized Content

Likewise, Bricks Builder helps you make your website smart and personal so it feels special for every visitor. Basically, it shows the right stuff to the right people, which makes your site super cool.

It does this with 3 awesome tools. They are:

  • Dynamic Data
  • Conditions
  • Interactions
Dynamic Data, Conditions, & Interaction Feature Access for a Button

i) Dynamic Data

The first one is Dynamic Data. It’s like a helper that grabs specific information like a post title, an author’s name, or a product price. And afterward, put them wherever you need on your site.

While similar to the Query Loop Builder, which displays lists of items (like all blog posts), Dynamic Data focuses on the little details for each piece of content.

ii) Conditions

Next is the Conditions feature. This one lets you decide who sees what. For example, you can show a special message only to users who are logged in or hide a sale banner after the sale ends. It’s like giving your website its own set of rules.

iii) Interactions

Finally, there’s an Interactions feature. It lets you create buttons that open popups, images that change when you hover over them, or extra content that shows up as your visitors scroll.

5. Built for Performance

Likewise, another major highlight is that Bricks Builder is designed to help your website load faster and work better. It comes with easy-to-use settings that you can adjust to improve your site’s performance.

For this, all you’ve to do is navigate to the ‘Bricks > Settings > Performance’ in your WordPress dashboard.

Access Performance Settings
Access Performance Settings

In doing so, you’ll find multiple toggles and dropdowns to optimize your site.

To be exact, you can:

  • Disable Emojis: Turn this off if you’re not using emojis on your site.
  • Disable Embeds: If your site doesn’t need YouTube or other embedded content, you can disable it here.
  • Disable Google Fonts: If you’ve uploaded your own fonts, you can stop loading Google Fonts for faster performance.
  • Disable Lazy Loading: Toggle off lazy loading if it causes issues; otherwise, you can leave it enabled for faster image loading.
  • Lazy Load Offset: Further, you can even adjust when images start loading as users scroll (default is 300px).

Besides, there are other settings you can adjust to improve your site’s performance.  Such as turning off jQuery Migrate, caching query loops, loading web fonts, and CSS, and more.

Click on Save Settings Option
Click on Save Settings Option

And once done, don’t forget to hit the ‘Save Settings’ option at the bottom.

All of this helps you make your website performance-focused that improves both SEO and user experience.

6. Customized Forms & Elements

Bricks Builder makes it simple to add forms and cool features to your website. Whether you want a basic contact form or something more advanced, Bricks gives you everything you need.

To create a form, all you’ve to do is search drag the ‘Form’ element onto your page.

Then, you can customize it in 2 ways. One as for Content and the other As for Style

Plus, you can go to ‘Spam Protection’ and enable built-in spam protection tools like Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, etc. As a result, this ensures only real people can submit your forms.

On the other hand, from the ‘Style’ tab, you can configure layout, typography, background, border, box shadow, gradient/overlay, CSS, and more.

Not to forget, Bricks Builder offers over 110 customizable elements to enhance your website.

It’s categorized as under Layout, Basic, General, Media, WordPress, and Single tab.

Under each, you can find interactive buttons, image galleries, accordions, tabs, and more. That you can further use with simple drag and drop and customize.

So, ultimately this gives you the flexibility to create a site that looks and works just the way you want.

7. Other Additional Features

In addition to the features we’ve already talked about, Bricks Builder has even more to offer.

Such as:

  • A menu builder to create fully customizable navigation menus, including dropdowns, mega menus, and mobile-friendly off-canvas menus.
  • You get a popup builder to design and trigger engaging popups for promotions, lead generation, or user actions, without needing extra plugins.
  • Provides WooCommerce builder to fully customize WooCommerce pages. Including product listings, single product pages, cart, checkout, and customer accounts, visually and easily.
  • You can use and customize premade community templates for businesses, portfolios, or shops, saving time and starting projects faster.
  • Comes with clean, accessible code that improves site performance, and enhances accessibility for all visitors.
  • You get responsive design control to adjust layouts, font sizes, and element visibility for every device type, so your site looks great everywhere.

And the list goes on and on!

C. Designing a Website with Bricks Builder

Now that we’ve discussed key features, let’s check into how you can design a website with Bricks Builder.

Let’s go step by step to learn how to design your website using Bricks Builder. Are you ready?

Step 1: Purchase and Install the Theme

Bricks Builder is a premium page builder theme. So, first you need to purchase it from its official website.

On successful purchase, you get to download a zip file that you need to further upload it on your WordPress dashboard along with the license key. This activates Bricks within your WordPress panel.

For more guidance, you can check out our article on how to install a WordPress theme.

Step 2: Launch the Bricks Page Builder

So, once you’ve successfully installed and activated the Bricks Page Builder, you’ll see that the new ‘Bricks’ menu has been added in the left-hand side navigation.

Now, there are 2 ways to launch the Bricks Page Builder. One is via ‘Pages > Add New Page > Edit with Bricks’. Or, the other one is via ‘Bricks > Templates’. You can do any one as you wish.

For now, we choose the latter one. With that, you’ll see the page as shown below.

Click on Add New Template Option

Here, click on the ‘Add New Template’ option at the top, with which you’ll enter the editor panel as shown below.

Then, click on the ‘Save Draft’ option and afterward hit the ‘Edit With Bricks’ option.

Step 3: Familiarize Yourself With the Interface

On doing so, you’ll see a clean and simple interface with 3 main parts:

  • Toolbar: This is at the top and lets you save your work, preview your site, and switch between device views.
  • Panel: You’ll find this on the left side. It shows tools, elements, and settings you can use to design your page.
  • Canvas: This is your main workspace, where you drag elements, customize them, and see changes in real-time.
